MHT CET Syllabus 2026: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has released the MHT CET 2026 syllabus PDF. Candidates can check here the MHT CET 2026 syllabus PDF to know the topics which are covered in exam. The syllabus of MHT CET for BTech (PCM Group) consists of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics topics of class 11 and 12 Maharashtra Board. Candidates appearing for BPharma (PCB Group) exam have to study Biology instead of Mathematics. As per the official website, 20 percent weightage is given to the Class 11 topics and 80 percent to the Class 12 topics of the Maharashtra board in the syllabus for exam. As the MHT CET 2026 syllabus has been released, the link to download the MHT CET syllabus pdf for PCM & PCB is given in the table below. The syllabus is the same as the Maharashtra class 11 and 12 boards.
Commonly asked questions
The high-weightage topics from class 11 and 12 Physics as per the previous year paper analysis are Current Electricity, Waves, AC, Magnetism, Laws of Motion, Work, Power and Energy. In Chemistry, the high-weightage topics are s and p block elements, Coordination compounds, Thermodynamics, Gaseous state, Chemical bonding, Atomic structure, Polymers, Environmental Chemistry, Organic chemistry. In Mathematics, the high-weightage topics are Sequence and Series, Vectors and 3D, Integral and Differential Calculus, and Definite and Indefinite Integral.
MHT CET paper do not have negative marking for incorrect answer. In MHT CET exam, Physics and Chemistry question is of 1 marks. No marks are deducted for unattempted questions. For any question, if none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or dropped, then full marks will be awarded to all candidates irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.
The English section of MAH BBA CET has the maximum weightage. This section carries 40 marks and Reasoning (Arithmetic and Verbal) section carries 30 marks. So, together they carry 70 questions, i.e. 70 percent of the total number of questions. General Knowledge and Computer Basics sections carry 15 marks each.
Thus, candidates must prepare for this section well. Candidates should not ignore it at any cost as a good overall score and overall percentile will be directly related to one’s performance in these two sections. If you score low in these two sections, you score will fall drastically.

MHT CET Exam Pattern 2026
MHT CET 2026 exam pattern is announced by the exam conducting authority.
- Section1: Mathematics
- Section 2: Physics and Chemistry
For PCB group, the section 1 will be Biology and Section 2 will be Physics and Chemistry.
Each of the three sections is of 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes). Although there is no negative marking in MHT CET, difficulty level of the exam would be at par with JEE Main and NEET UG for PCM and PCB respectively. The questions will typically be application-based.

In general, the MHT CET syllabus can be completed in 6 months. The time required will however vary for every student. If student start preparing for MHT CET in class 12, they can easily cover the entire syllabus for MHT CET along with the school home-work by giving special emphasis to topics that are part of MHT CET syllabus.

The syllabus of MHT CET is not same as JEE Main. As per the information available in MHT CET official website, only a few topics of class 11 are part of the MHT CET syllabus. However, all class 12 topics are covered in MHT CET syllabus. The difficulty level of MHT CET is similar to JEE Mains. The syllabus for MHT CET PCM (BE/BTech) and PCB (BPharma) is different. MHT CET PCM exam is conducted for admission to BE/BTech while the PCB examis conducted for BPharma courses. MHT CET PCM syllabus consists of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. PCB syllabus has Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
